Radio Presenter Mike Hurley Dies

Former BBC Radio Humberside and BBC Radio York presenter Mike Hurley has died at the age of 59 following a stroke. He was well known for his alter ego "Bill Bore" for which he won a Sony Radio Award. . (more)

Popular radio presenter and voice-over artist Mike Hurley has died. Mike suffered from a stroke at the young age of 59. He was best known for his programmes on BBC Radio Humberside and BBC Radio York, along with performing voice-overs for many radio commercials. (more)

BBC Humberside secures footy

Scunthorpe United and Hull City have both signed new three-year broadcast contracts with BBC Radio Humberside, meaning all Championship games this season will be covered with full match commentaries. The deals also provide for exclusive interviews with Radio Humberside before and after each match. (more)

BBC banned from rugby club
