Four stations confuse advertising for editorial

Four commercial radio stations have been rapped by Ofcom for overstepping the line between advertising and editorial by giving “undue prominence” to products during programmes. (more)

Market share rise for UKRD

BBC Radio Derby Searches for County Flag

BBC Radio Derby's Breakfast show presenter, Andy Whittaker, has been on a quest to acquire a flag for the county of Derbyshire. Now the search is entering the final stages, and the shortlist of three final designs is unveiled for the first time on Friday morning (4th August). (more)

Beautiful launch for Atlantic FM

Atlantic FM, the second commercial radio station for Cornwall has launched this morning at 7:30am after a long sequence of short music clips, which listeners can expect to hear on the station. The clips were pre-produced over the sound of crashing waves. (more)

Cornwall boasts biggest hours

BBC Radio Cornwall has attracted 1,000 new listeners over the last year, according to the latest audience figures issued by Rajar. The figures show the station now has an average weekly audience of 152,000 listeners. (more)
