Tindle promotion for Rees

Tindle Radio’s David Rees has been appointed regional programme director for the South Anglia region. He’ll also join the board of directors at Town 102 and Dream 100. He will now oversee programming for Dream 107.7 in mid-Essex along with north Essex and Ipswich stations. (more)
New York Awards - UK winners

The New York Festivals Awards Gala took place yesterday evening at the Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan, hosted by Kerrang! Radio's Tim Shaw. Several UK stations and shows were nominated, and many came away with the top prize. Winners include Town 102, Totally 80s with Gary King, Girls Talk on FM107.9 and Radio City's Pete Price. (more)
Town 102 to collect ashtrays!

Tindle Radio station Town 102 will be sending their Roadrunner team out around Ipswich to collect unwanted ashtrays throughout the month of July. The "Ashtray Amnesty" will raise money for Cancer Research UK by recycling ashtrays no-longer needed once the smoking ban commences. (more)

Earlier this week Ipswich?s own local radio station Town 102 FM committed to extending our live 24 hour local news in reaction to listener requests for extra information on the Ipswich Murders. The station did this by extending their flagship nightly news programme, Town Tonight to one hour each evening. (more)

The new local radio station for Ipswich, Town 102 has gone live this morning at 7:30am, with the Nick Morrell breakfast show.The station is owned by Tindle Radio and won the licence in December 2005 after fighting off competition from seven other applications, including bids from UKRD and The Radio Business.
