One of the UK's smallest radio stations is continuing to makes waves by attracting quality guests and highlighting local issues. Radio Scilly, run by Keri Jones, has broadcast an extended 25 minute interview with an islander who survived when his cruise ship collided with an iceberg in Antarctica. (more)

Radio Scilly founder and morning presenter Keri Jones is attracting not only new listeners to the station, but the stars are visiting too. David Beckham, whilst filming a Adidas promotional campaign took time out to visit the radio station and sign items to raffle for island charities. (more)
Big launch for Radio Scilly

The world's smallest radio station has launched in Scilly, from studios opposite Porthmellon Beach on St Mary's. Radio Scilly went live at 2pm during a ceremony attended by around 100 invited guests. 67 islanders have signed up as presenters, serving a maximum audience of 2100 people on the five islands, 28 miles off Lands End. New beer for Radio Scilly!

The launch of Radio Scilly is to be celebrated with a new beer – and Islanders and visitors are being asked to come up with a name. Mark Praeger, who owns the Ales of Scilly brewery, is to create a real ale to mark the station’s permanent return after eight years of short-term trial broadcasts. (more)
Lottery balls for Radio Scilly

The new radio station for the Isles of Scilly is to launch on September 3rd, and has been licensed by the islands' council to run a weekly lottery draw. Money raised will fund Radio Scilly's volunteer training programmes and will offer annual grants to established islands-based organisations. (more)
Big finish for The Big Listen

The Big Listen has concluded it’s week-long campaign to gather the views of commercial radio listeners with a two hour long radio show. The programme heard from a variety of business people, listeners, presenters and radio owners from Richard Branson commenting about buying Virgin Radio, to Keri Jones talking about launching the UK’s smallest radio station on the Isles of Scilly.
