More radio stations for Freesat

Seven more stations will starting broadcasting via the Freesat line-up on August 1st.Capital 95.8, Xfm, Classic FM, Gold, NME Radio, Insight Radio and BFBS will join 10 BBC channels and Virgin Radio on the new free-to-air satellite service. (more)

Sammy Jacob, 44, is managing director of NME Radio, which launches later this month, though you can listen to a pre-launch show presented by Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington from today. Jacob worked on a series of pirate radio stations before founding Xfm from his bedroom in Hackney, east London, in 1992. (more)
