Kiss shouts about breakfast

Kiss 100 is celebrating its position as London’s third biggest commercial radio station by launching a major marketing campaign to support the Rickie and Melvin breakfast show.The campaign is part of a £1.5 million investment in Kiss by Bauer Radio over the summer months and includes 48 sheets, 6 sheets, bus sides and digital media on the London Underground. Smoothly does it in London

After numerous relaunches and lineup changes, GMG Radio's 102.2 Smooth Radio finally has something to shout about, with the best hours of any commercial radio station in London. Real Radio Scotland is now more listened to than Capital, while there were losses for both Century stations. (more)

KCFM goes live in Hull

KCFM 99.8 has started broadcasting this morning in Hull. Breakfast presenter and local lad Steve Jordan launched KCFM 99.8 at 6am with an interview between PC Tim Jibson and Chairman Ian Blakey followed by Twist and Shout by The Beatles. The station, serving Hull and East Yorkshire, promises to be a local station for local people with 24 hour news, music and sport. (more)

Emap shout about RAJAR results

Kiss 100 recorded the biggest growth in listenership across all radio in London, according to today's RAJAR figures. Each week, 1,499,000 listeners tune in to hear Kiss infectious mix of the best dance music adding 211,000 in the last three months. The rise in listenership is reflected across the UK with 2,363,000 people tuning in nationwide. Kerrang! continues to rock the nation with 1,240,000 guitar music fans tuning in each week across the UK a 24.6 per cent rise on the year. In the West Midlands, Kerrang! 105.2 has 363,000 listeners up by 39.6 per cent on the year. (more)
