CN Group have received approval to network all output except breakfast at five of its stations in the Midlands. Only the breakfast show will distinguish Touchradio in Coventry, Banbury, Tamworth and Stratford and Rugby FM. Three of the stations are already co-located. (more)

CN Group radio stations in the midlands have been given permission from Ofcom to co-locate, RadioToday.co.uk can reveal. A new studio centre in Kenilworth will house Rugby FM, Touch FM Coventry and Touch FM Stratford upon-Avon from next year. (more)
Touch and Rugby to co-locate

CN Group radio stations in the Midlands have been given permission from Ofcom to co-locate, RadioToday.co.uk can reveal. A new studio centre in Honiley, Kenilworth will house Rugby FM, Touch FM Coventry, Touch FM Warwick and Touch FM Stratford upon-Avon from next year. (more)
Milestone exits publishing

Milestone, the company which used to own a small handful of radio stations in the UK have this morning entered into an agreement, subject to shareholder approval, to dispose of Property Weekly as a stand-alone business unit to Tindle Newspapers Limited for a consideration of £1.4 million.
In the last few years Milestone had a share in, or owned various radio stations including Kick FM, Rugby FM and Reading 107. They also backed new applications for new licences including FM106 The Burn - one of the unsuccesful applcants for the Blackburn licence. All stations were sold during the first half of 2006, with the final asset, Passion 107.9 being sold to Absolute Radio in June. (more)
Milestone left with just one

Further to the announcements of 1 February 2006 and 17 February 2006, Milestone announces completion of the disposal of its 52 per. cent controlling shareholding in Rugby Broadcasting Company Limited (trading as Rugby FM) to CN
Group Limited for a total cash consideration of £644,961.20.
This means the company now only have an interest in one station, Passion 107.9 in Oxford.

Milestone dispose of Rugby FM

Further to the announcement made on 1 February 2006, Milestone announces it has today completed the sale of its beneficial controlling shareholdings in Kestrel FM Limited ('Kestrel FM') and West Berkshire Radio Limited ('Kick FM') to Provincial Broadcasting Companies Limited ('Provincial').
Additionally, Milestone confirms it intends to seek to complete the proposed disposal of its beneficial controlling shareholding in Rugby Broadcasting Company Limited ('Rugby FM') to CN Group Limited on or before 27 February 2006. (more)

Further to the announcement made on 1 February 2006, Milestone announces it has today completed the sale of its beneficial controlling shareholdings in Kestrel FM and Kick FM to Provincial Broadcasting Companies Limited.

Brunel FM confirms top appointment

Brunel FM has announced who will launch and manage Swindon’s newest radio station when it makes its debut later in the year. The music led station (formerly known as Now FM) which features hits of the last 4 decades, news and information - won the 12 year FM commercial radio licence from the industry regulator Ofcom in September against stiff competition.
Brunel FM has appointed its first Station Manager to spearhead the project. 33 year old Martin Mumford moved to Swindon in mid – January and now has the challenging task of building and developing the radio station.
Martin has considerable experience in Independent Local Radio which includes masterminding the highly successful launch of Rugby FM. His most recent appointment was as Group Commercial Director of The Radio Pembrokeshire Group which owns award winning Radio Pembrokeshire. (more)
Major changes at Milestone Radio

Milestone Group today announces the proposed disposal of its three non-wholly owned radio assets and the appointment of a new Non-Executive Chairman.
The Company proposes to dispose of its 54 per cent. beneficial interest in Kestrel FM and assignment of related shareholder loans; its 55 per cent. beneficial interest in Kick FM and assignment of related shareholder loans; and its 52 per cent. beneficial interest in Rugby FM.
Milestone are expecting approximately £2 million for the shares in the three stations, but is subject to the approval of Shareholders in the Company at an Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on 17 February 2006. (more)
