Asian DJ gets prominent slot on Kiss 100
From Biz Asia. Posted July 11 2007, 8.59am
The popular voice of Kiss 100 DJ Neev has been given a prominent slot on London's 'hip and happening' urban station Kiss 100. She will be taking over the weekday 12-3pm slot.
The young, brassy and confident presenter has been part of the Kiss 100 family since 2004, not only presenting but also producing and not to mention being the voice of Kiss by doing most of the voiceovers for the commercial station.
Neev began her radio career at the tender age of 18 at her local radio station Reading 107FM, working across the station as the traffic & travel girl and quickly moving onto co-presenting and producing shows. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength, producing and presenting regularly on BBC Asian Network (for 4 years) and Star 106.6FM under the alias Tara K (for 3 years).
After a recent stint of presenting the daily 3-6am slot on Kiss which she describes as her 'dream station' and impressing listeners and superiors alike, Neev is delighted to be the new daily host of the lunchtime slot from 12-3pm daily on Kiss 100FM. Andy Roberts, Group Programme Director at Kiss, said " Neev has done great work on building Kiss's early morning audience over the last few months and now I feel its time for her to step up and host Kiss London's new lunchtime show."
Still only 25, her aspirations of having a daily radio show have arrived and her dreams are now a reality. Neev said:"I couldn't be happier with my move to daytime...I grew up listening to Kiss and it truly is a privileged to be part of the station... I think lunchtimes will be awesome".
Music producer Rishi Rich was also a part of Kiss 100, he fronted his own music show with pals Juggy D and Jay Sean on Friday nights. (more)
