EXCLUSIVE: Local independent stations in Worthing and Burgess Hill, Splash FM and Bright FM, will join forces in a bid to survive in difficult trading conditions. Co-location at Worthing has been approved by Ofcom, but programmes will remain separate. (more)
Stations beware of radio conman

A conman in the Worthing area is claiming to offer cash prizes from Splash FM. The unknown man is ringing locals and letting them win an easy competition supposedly live on-air, then asking for bank account details so the winning money can be transferred. (more)

RAJAR results published this week, for Quarter 4 2006, show Splash FM's audience rose by 5,800 listeners, on the previous RAJAR quarter and the audience are listening longer. (more)
Masterclass ready for bookings

The first Radio Academy Masterclass of 2006 is taking place on Saturday 4th March, at the IDS building on the Sussex University campus near Brighton. Anyone interested in a career in radio is invited to attend.
