New station for St Albans

Members and supporters of Verulam Community Radio have welcomed last week's announcement by the Ofcom of a five year Community Radio Licence for the group to broadcast Radio Verulam on FM to St Albans and the surrounding area. Radio Verulam has been broadcasting via the NTL cable system for over ten years and on the Internet for four years now. The station also broadcast on a short term "Restricted Service Licence" (RSL) during the St Albans Festival in the Summer of 2004. (more)
