CanWest sells two stations

CanWest MediaWorks, owners of the Original brand in the UK has sold its two radio stations in Canada to Corus Entertainment. 99.1 Cool FM in Manitoba and 91.5 The Beat FM in Ontario changed hands for $15 million, leaving the company without any operational radio stations in Canada. (more)

Citybeat DJ settles out of court

In a battle of the Belfast airwaves, Cool FM late night presenter Sonya Mac has come out on top. Sonya has been paid libel damages by former Citybeat DJ Joe Ferguson for comments made about her in December 2004. And his former employers also issued a public apology to Ms Mac. (more)
