Southport's 107.9 Dune FM has been sold by The Local Radio Company to KCR owner Ray Furguson, RadioToday.co.uk has learnt.KCR 106.7 is Dune FM's neighbouring station, both based on Merseyside with a distance of 15 miles between the stations. (more)

TLRC sells Dune FM

Southport's 107.9 Dune FM has been sold by The Local Radio Company, RadioToday.co.uk has learnt.Although TLRC were unable to confirm the disposal the station, RadioToday.co.uk understands the sale has been agreed with a new consortium, but it will be several weeks until the deal is completed. XFM Manchester & Dune FM Favourites in North West England

The Breakfast Show on XFM Manchester presented by Jason Manford and the Drivetime Show on Dune FM presented by Dan Roach have been voted the Best in North West England according to a poll run by Merry Media.Over the past couple of months, Merry Media will be moving from one region to the next in the UK to find the best Breakfast and Drivetime shows on local radio. We have found the best in the South, South West & South East, East of England, Midlands and North West England - and are now looking for the best in London. Visitors to Merry Media voted for their favourite Breakfast Show in North West England with Jason Manford on XFM Manchester gaining the highest amount of votes - with Dan Roach of Dune FM topping the Drivetime poll..
