Fresh boss remains optimistic

Yorkshire Dales station Fresh Radio has received a bashing in its local newspaper regarding its survival, but station manager Julian Hotchkiss is confident the station has a bright future.The Craven Herald reported most of its presenters walked out in the middle of last week, leaving non-stop music for 20 hours a day. Fresh problems for Laser

Yorkshire station Fresh Radio spent most of last week broadcasting an old emergency back-up CD on their 1413 medium wave transmitter in Skipton, according to reports. (more)

Laser buys Fresh Radio

Fresh Radio in Skipton is now fully owned by Laser Broadcasting. The board accepted a six figure deal for the station which is currently moving from medium wave to FM at various parts of the Yorkshire Dales. (more)

Fresh sets FM timetable

Yorkshire Dales station Fresh Radio has unveiled more details about its impending switch-over to FM from AM. The first of 6 new transmitters will go live on Sunday 11th February in Richmond, North Yorks. Others will follow in Ilkley, Pateley Bridge, Skipton, Settle and Grassington. (more)

Fresh Radio gets FM go-ahead

Fresh Radio, the commercial radio station for Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales will finally make the move to FM in the coming months after serving the Dales for 10 years on medium wave. Five new FM transmitters will broadcast on three FM frequencies, along side the current 936KHz service. (more)
