Intelsat announces successful launch of Galaxy 18

Intelsat announced today that at 5:43 am EDT the Galaxy 18 satellite was successfully launched aboard a Sea Launch Zenit-3SL rocket. The satellite, built by Space Systems/Loral, will operate from 123 degrees west and serve programmers, government and corporate broadband customers in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

EXCLUSIVE: Full Sky Digital EPG listings after reshuffle

BizAsia.co.uk brings you the full Sky Digital channel listings as they will appear after the reshuffle.
There are no changes planned for following EPG categories Documentaries, Sports, Adult and Radio.
Sky plans to implement a marketing campaign through a number of different media prior to the changes taking place in order to inform viewers of the changes.
The new channel line up is currently scheduled to be implemented on a genre by genre basis between 05:00 and 08:00 on the dates specified below.

CCTV-9 to discontinue Galaxy-3C satellite service to North America

China Central Television (CCTV) will stop broadcasting CCTV-9 (its 24-hour English language service) to North America via the Galaxy-3C satellite from January 1, 2008. Instead, audiences in North America can receive CCTV’s programmes through the Echostar Satellite LLC Dish Network platform in the United States or Rogers Cabke Communications in Canada respectively.

Capital 95.8 marketing director Nick Button is leaving the station at the end of the year after 12 months in the job. He will not be replaced.
Button joined the GCap London station in January, after defecting from Emap rival Kiss 100.

J hn Lloyd, 56, is the co-creator of QI - now in its fifth series and currently airing on Friday nights on BBC2. An acclaimed writer and radio and television producer, his list of credits include creating long-running radio series Quote ... Unquote, The News Huddlines and The News Quiz and TV comedy hits Not The Nine O'Clock News, Blackadder and Spitting Image (which he co-originated). Lloyd also co-wrote the first series of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with his friend the late Douglas Adams. Since 1987 he has directed commercials including campaigns for Boddingtons, Barclaycard and Phileas Fogg. In 1999 Lloyd set up Quite Interesting Ltd ? a company dedicated to making life less boring in all media. Lloyd is the co-author of The QI Annual, published this month, and The Book of Animal Ignorance. He lives in Oxfordshire with his wife Sarah and three children. (more)

Jeremy joined Chrysalis in 1994 as Managing Director of Chrysalis Music. He was promoted to Chief Executive of the Music Division in 2001 and has presided over the significant growth in the Division's Net Publisher's Share, which has increased from 3.2m in 1994 to 10.7m in 2005.
