Final Heart merger: East Anglia

It was the final nail in the coffin of Radio Orwell and Radio Broadland on Friday as Heart Ipswich fully merged into Heart Norwich to create Heart East Anglia.The base in Ipswich will close, and Norwich will become one of 15 new super broadcasting centres as promised by owners Global Radio. (more)

Benji B bags new Radio 1 show

BBC Radio 1Xtra specialist music DJ Benji B is moving to BBC Radio 1 to host the Thursday 2-4am slot on the station.He's replacing the slot left vacant by Mary Anne Hobbs, who leaves the station after 14 years to teach at the University of Sheffield. (more)
