BBC Radio Sheffield is the BBC Local Radio service for South Yorkshire and the North Midlands. It broadcasts from its studios in Shorham Street, Sheffield on FM, AM and on DAB. It is also available through live streaming on the internet. The strongest signal, on 104.1FM, comes from the Holme Moss transmitter (actually in West Yorkshire, on the border with Derbyshire).

During the afternoons and evenings, the AM transmitters broadcast programmes from the BBC Asian Network. Local programmes continue on FM and DAB.

Former presenters include Tony Capstick.

BBC Radio Sheffield began broadcasting in 1967 from studios in Broomhill, a suburb of Sheffield. In Summer 2001, the station moved to a new purpose build complex in the centre of Sheffield, in an area known as the Cultural Industries Quarter. As well as the radio station, the new building houses a BBC Learning Zone, where members of the public can use computer facilities and the internet, and take part in courses.
