About BBC Radio Shropshire
From the major centres of medieval black-and-white timbered Shrewsbury, Telford (the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution but now home to advanced high-tech industries), historic market towns like Oswestry and Ludlow, Whitchurch and Bridgnorth, and the rolling countryside sweeping to the foothills of the Welsh mountains, BBC Radio Shropshire covers the lot.
History
Radio Shropshire came on-air on St. George's Day (April 23rd), 1985. 'Live in 85' was the slogan at the time, and since then the station has prided themselves on being a lively part of county life, helping to make Shropshire feel a more united entity.
