(Redirected from Hit 40 UK)

Originally known as the Network Chart Show and the Pepsi Chart, Hit 40 UK is currently broadcast to 120 Commercial Radio Stations across the UK between 4-7pm each Sunday.

The hit40uk chart is compiled by the Official UK Charts Company and Music Control, from commercial radio airplay and sales of physical and downloaded music from retailers across the UK - with chart positions 40-11 based on 50% airplay and 50% retail sales, and the Top 10 on retail sales information only.

With an audience that outstrips the BBC's Chart Show, past presenters include Neil Fox and Simon Hirst (who took over the role from Fox in 2005). Until late 2005, the show also had a co-presenter, Katy Hill. It's now presented by Capital Radio presenter Lucio from studios based at Capital Radio in Leicester Square, London.

The show is currently produced by Somethin' Else Productions for hit40uk ltd. Previously it was also produced as a TV show of the same name which was shown on Channel 4 and E4.

hit40uk has two sister charts The A List and Fresh 40.
