ITN is a provider of television news to commercial broadcasters.

Its principal clients include ITV plc and Channel 4. Between 1997 and 2004 it provided a news service for Five.

ITN provides the news service for Independent Radio News.

It also has a burgeoning archive business (http://www.itnarchive.com).

ITN's shareholders are ITV plc (40 per cent), Daily Mail & General Trust (20 per cent), United Business Media (20 per cent) and Reuters (20 per cent).
