James Moir

James "Jim" Moir is a former BBC producer who was appointed controller of BBC Radio 2 in 1995. He revived the ailing station's fortunes by introducing a contemporary play list and ditching the fayre of TV themes, organ music and Showtime standards, the choice of the previous incumbent Frances Line. Under him the station went from a laughing stock to being the most successful in the land
