Radio2XS
radio2XS (http://www.radio2xs.com) is an online radio station formed in 2002 and was born out of Jeff Cooper's Sony-nominated show 'XS' (later '2XS') at Hallam FM, Peak 107 and 106.9 SilkFM. He had earlier produced and presented similar shows for RockFM ('Q-Rock'), GMR (then BBC Radio Manchester) ('Fast Foward'), Radio Clyde ('Midnight Rock'), and Radio Trent. radio2XS continues this career-long interest in New Music and unsigned bands and also features exclusive live sessions (The 'Barn Sessions'). These are recorded in the station's 32-track Barn Studio near Chesterfield, Derbyshire, at Sheffield's Red Tape studios and at Host's studios in Leeds. We believe radio2XS is the only UK online station recording its own full sessions - and certainly the only one with three fully-equipped multi-track studio facilties (feel free to correct me if that is wrong)! The station runs 24/7 and is a mix of live and automated programming. The station is fully covered by UK royality agreements. (JC)
