Radio Clatterbridge

From Media UK's The Knowledge. Last update: 18:36, 9 Aug 2005 by Andy Bonner.

Radio Clatterbridge (http://www.radioclatterbridge.co.uk) is one of North West England's oldest hospital radio stations.

Broadcasting since 1951, the station is available twenty-four hours a day to patients and staff at Clatterbridge Hospital in Wirral.

It is staffed by a team of about forty volunteers who each give up their own time to help the station run smoothly.

One of Radio Claterbridge's highlights was to secure the first ever broadcast interview with the Beatles back in 1962.
