Richard Bacon
Richard Bacon (born 30 November 1975) is a televison and radio presenter.
Bacon grew up in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Contrary to popular belief, his career began in radio, as a reporter at BBC Radio Nottingham.
He joined the children's television show Blue Peter as a presenter on 21st February 1997. He was the first presenter in the show's 40 year history to be actively sacked, after he admitted to taking cocaine.
Since then, Richard has presented such shows as The Big Breakfast, Top of the Pops and the reality TV show Back To Reality. He also runs a production company, divising tv formats for shows in the UK and US.
He has presented on radio stations Xfm, BBC Radio Five Live, Capital FM and BBC7.
After presenting drivetime on Capital Radio for a year, Richard swapped positions with Lucio on Xfm to present weekday drive.
