In the immortal words penned by Alan Bennett: Gissa job!
Much more seriously, I'm currently a grad student and student-radio type, the latter depending on the former as I finally summoned up the courage to do radio at the start of my PhD, and I'm particularly interested in unpopular music (IDM and post-punk being particular enthusiasms) and the technical - particularly Internetty - side of radio.
I wrote the winning entry (both the actual entry and the app (though not the Java applet it uses!) itself) for the Student Radio Awards 2004 in Technical Achievement - putting together the online player and bits of the supporting infrastructure which you can see at CUR1350 (http://www.cur1350.co.uk). I was programme controller there last year (from February '04 to '05), and still present (a show punningly (as seems to be mandatory on student radio) entitled 'Random Walk'.). I'm responsible for some of the station's jingles too, have reviewed music for the music team, and generally helped out.
(I like brackets, as you can probably tell by now. Footnotes, too, but I don't know how to do those in MediaWiki.)
When I'm not doing those, I do a bit of event DJing (unsurprisingly either punkish-indie - from Blur through the Pixies to Liars/Gang of Four/Wire - or ambient techno/IDM (Ulrich Schnauss, Boards of Canada, Aphex, etc), depending on which hat I'm wearing), and make my own music; my electronic alter ego, covert (http://covertmusic.com), even has its own website.
