What qualifications do I need to work at MTV?

I love music, television, media and journalism. I was wondering what qualifications would be needed to work under MTV? I already make YouTube videos, have experience in modelling and drama and sing/songwrite, record and busk when I have the time. I would LOVE to bind all of my interests together to form a career, I am just unaware of how. Please reply with information/help so I can start studying towards to college courses needed.

Hi, Jade,
You might watch MTV carefully for the end credits, to see who makes programmes for MTV. That would be a good bit of research, and you should find quite a few companies who you can talk to.
Someone more knowledgeable than me will be along in a minute. Media studies and those kinds of degrees are lovely, but find something that suits your passion: music or even business are just as useful. Try, too, to get some experience locally as well – local radio stations might be good and could do with the help – because that will be useful in the long run as well.
