I shop with them alot, everything is fine unless you have a problem, then the call centre which is in asia somewhere don’t understand the english that they are taught to speak. I have sent back an expensive machine recently and am still awaiting a refund. The returns department could not find something that belonged to the machine even thou it was in the compartment that the manufactures provided for it. But can I get an answer to whether they have now found it or not NO. They still have the machine and my money. Anyone out there got a UK landline number for this company not starting 08 or 09.

Here’s their head office details, though it’s still starting 08…

Sadly the usually-excellent www.saynot0870.com doesn’t have any alternatives either.

Hi Folks, I found some UK based telephone numbers hope these help Marion customer relations 01733 777361, Garth Parker 01733 316302, Seetal Manku secretary to MD 01733 316203. These came from the Mirror investative team.

Anyone want to learn how to spell and punctuate? And you complain about Asians not using English properly!

I have had the same issues with Create and Craft as other people ae complaining of. I bought a Cricut ink cartridge from them and when I tried to instal it a few months later, my machine said it was out of date and would not work. After several unanswered emails to Create and Craft I reluctantly rang their call centre. I was told in very poor English that Create and Craft are only agents for the goods they sell and that I must approach the manufacturer. I know this is not true. He then told me that ink cartridges must be installed within one month of purchase which I also know is not true. I got tired of arguing my case at great cost of phone call. I once again emailed Ideal World and got no reply except an automated acknowledgement that was never followed up.

Lyn, I am guessing from the way you wrote this that your gripe is one of the Ideal World splinter channels. I stopped buying from Ideal World when they switched to the expensive 09 number they now use. I think it is a con and a cheek. Also, it is getting increasingly harder to determine which of their broadcasts are ‘live’ or recorded repeats which a number are. But as with all consumer complaints, deal with the seller first, you are protected in this case by both the Sale Of Goods Act and the Distant Selling Regulations. The first deals with the ‘fit for purpose’ of the product sold, and if a CD that should have been sent is not included, it isn’t. And the second covers your rights to return a product within 7 days of receiving it, if you are not happy with it. It might be worth giving consumer direct a ring.
