InDesign TV Listings Sub Editor, EBS (2nd floor above dentist)

Desired Experience/Abilities

Experienced and skilled user of Adobe InDesign CS5 (PC-based).
At least 1-2 years experience working in a sub editing role, preferably with some exposure to the production of print TV/Radio listings.
Excellent editorial expertise and a sharp eye for detail.
An exceptional ability to cope well with pressure and to work in a timely fashion to strict deadlines.
A passion for and knowledge of TV.
A high level of motivation and determination to see a project through to completion. You must possess a proactive attitude.
You will be an adaptable individual with a willingness to go the extra mile when required, including the possibility of some unsociable hours.
Team leadership experience would be advantageous.
EBS New Media is looking to recruit skilled sub editors to join their progressive and expanding team. Applications for senior, intermediate and junior level positions will all be considered for this role.

You will possess immaculate editorial and subbing skills with a proven track record of working in a deadline-driven environment. Working in a fast-paced environment where TV schedules are changing constantly, you will need the ability to work quickly and accurately while remaining calm under pressure.

You will ideally have experience of working as part of a diverse production team, and will be able to collaborate efficiently with colleagues in order to achieve the business’s goals. You will need the ability to work to strict procedures with the aim of achieving editorial excellence while also contributing your own creative ideas to improve efficiency and the quality of our output.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who possesses the ability to work alone to a high level of editorial accuracy, while also demonstrating the ability to lead or be a key contributor to a team (or sub-team) when required. Central to their abilities are being fully adept in Adobe InDesign CS5, impeccable editorial and subbing skill, and a passion for television.
