Acquisitions Internship

We are the leading UK based international documentary distributor is looking for a dedicated, passionate, literate documentary acquisition intern. You will be the first point of contact for film-makers looking to win distribution through us. Your input will be crucial in determining which films make it to the worlds biggest broadcasters and digital platforms. Can you spot the next Oscar winner or can you reject a turkey from a well known cineaste? We need a keen-eyed intern who understands our brand and will help acquire the great films we need in our catalogue.

A key aspect of this role is film research, staying up to date on recent festival line-ups and projects in development. A penchant for literacy is also key for this role alongside a critically developed ability to assess a film and it’s suitability for our catalogue.

The successful candidate will be spending time viewing documentaries, and therefore a demonstrable passion for international documentary films is a key requirement. A relevant degree is desirable, (not media studies however) but not necessary. Above all, we are looking for a committed, proactive and hard-working individual. While the successful candidate will receive initial training, we are looking for a self-motivated individual who is excited about the possibilities of the position.

This role will provide you with solid film acquisitions experience and the opportunity to gain invaluable insights into this sector of the media world. it is best suited to a recent graduate, though we welcome applications from anyone who feels excited by the proposition.
