BBC West’s award winning current affairs series Inside Out West is looking for a researcher with a passion for investigative journalism.
We’re after someone with a track record of delivering original stories that make an impact.
Previous broadcasting experience would be an advantage.
As well as having loads of compelling ideas, you’ll have an understanding of multiplatform working and a knowledge of diverse communities in the West.
Main features of the job:
Finding and developing current affairs investigations, including secret filming where necessary.
Finding and developing strong surprising features about our region – and the people who live in it.
Finding and developing “modern heritage” stories – historical stories with a topical element.
Finding “celebrity” authors for strong polemics about issues in our region.
An understanding of the health & safety and logistical issues involved in setting up filming.
