The UK’s first not-for-profit local television station, Solent TV, has ceased trading because it’s insolvent. The channel, which had been broadcasting to the Isle of Wight since 2002, started broadcasting nationally on satellite in January this year. Solent TV abandons plan to launch on Sky Digital

The Board of Solent TV, a local TV station based on the Isle of Wight in southern England, has decided to halt the launch of the station on the digital satellite platform.
