Sri Lanka imposes tax on foreign content

Sri Lanka has introduced strict finance regulations on foreign content, in a move to boost the local entertainment industry, Lanka Business Online has reported. Effective 16 July, all imports of Bollywood and Hollywood TV content are taxed US$750 for every 30 minutes of airtime.
