On Sunday the CITV channel celebrated its first birthday and in first Birthday style were celebrating on the CITV channel with a brand new Miffy Special ‘Birthday ’, special birthday idents and happy birthday songs.. (more)

Estelle Hughes Leaves CITV Channel

Estelle Hughes, the Controller of the CITV Children's channel - has resigned from the station and will move on to work as a consultant to production companies. Simon Shaps, the Director of Television at ITV said she had "done a great job" in her role as Controller. The channel launched in March for digital and cable customers. CITV will not be making any more inhouse childrens tv shpws - a decision by ITV to save money for the network.. (more)
